What are crowns and bridges?

What’s it like to get crowns and bridges?

For these procedures, you need to plan to visit the practice twice. Your first visit involves taking an impression of your teeth to create your crown or bridge.

Dr. Gainor also removes a portion of your enamel from your natural tooth to make room for the crown to fit on top. You simply wear a temporary crown until your custom-made one is ready. 

At your second visit, Dr. Gainor places your permanent crown or bridge in your mouth and makes adjustments to ensure a comfortable fit.

How do I care for my crowns and bridges?

To take care of your crowns and bridges, brush at least twice daily and floss at least once a day. You should also keep your routine appointments every six months at Rockefeller Dentistry.
